PROF KHABELE MATLOSA
PROF KHABELE MATLOSA is one of Africa’s foremost authorities on governance, elections, and democratic systems, with an extensive career spanning the African Union, United Nations, and leading continental institutions. He has operated at the highest levels of policy formulation and institutional leadership, including serving as Director of Political Affairs at the African Union Commission and Senior Governance Advisor at UNDP. He has played a direct role in shaping Africa’s governance architecture, including contributions to the African Charter on Democracy, Elections and Governance, and has led major continental programmes on elections, peace, and political transitions. His work reflects deep engagement with state systems, electoral processes, and regional integration across Africa.
