TRAINING OF LEADERS IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR
The programme area is focused on building capable, ethical, and accountable leadership across governance structures in southern Africa. ACG is focused on strengthening leadership capacity in the public sector and among political actors. Through training in governance, ethics, and community rights, this programme seeks to build accountable institutions and leaders who serve people with integrity and vision.
Capacity Building for Public Sector Leaders
A. Provide training in governance, transparency, and accountability.
B. Strengthen skills in policy development, service delivery, and ethical decision-making.
Engagement with Political Parties and Aspiring Leaders
A. Offer technical workshops for political parties to understand governance frameworks.
B. Train aspiring political actors on democratic values, human rights, and community-centred leadership.
C. Promote dialogue between parties and communities to build trust and inclusivity.
Specialized Training Modules
A. Human Rights and Community Building: Equip leaders to integrate rights-based approaches into governance.
B. Climate and Resource Governance: Teach leaders to manage natural resources responsibly and sustainably.
C. Conflict Resolution and Mediation: Strengthen leaders’ ability to resolve disputes peacefully and inclusively.
Fact-Finding and Technical Missions
